How many wish Warcraft looked less cartoony?

I personally like the graphic style in WoW, i find games (Such as the graphics from guild wars) that try going to realistic seem to get boring, because i find it hard to see my self in that world in a way.

Plus when games try going for life like graphics, its easier to pick out the faults and see it isn't real, which defeats the purpose in a way

I don't like the style of WoW. Never did. There are some neat looking things but overall the characters and environment were something I accepted rather than enjoyed.

I realize the WAR style is similar but they look a lot less Fisher-Price to me. Much higher poly count, cooler and more grim looking, not as exhagerated. The same goes for the world and thank god there are no dancing animations.

I hated the graphics in WoW, but the War graphics seem grittier and less "frufru" they seem like a good mix between the real and the toonish looks.

The cartoon graphics in WoW kinda made it stuck out when it was first coming out. The free roaming world it self was beautiful to look at and i loved walking around in new zones. The weapons and gear always looked cool and new. But when they started recycling armor with new color schemes it kinda killed it. But overall the graphics of WoW were fun and colorful. WoW isnt a gritty realistic game so the graphics it has fits well with the series.

Speaking of recycled armor, i heard a rumor that teir 7 is going to be replicas of tier 3 since not alot of people ever got any tier 3 gear before expansion came out.

Yep, which is incredibly stupid imo. Firstly, every rogue will look like they're in brown assassination gear, since they already used tier 3 rogue graphics TWICE now with assassination and the blue PvP set. Also, I STILL HAVE tier 3 on my warrior, now everyone can have the same armor that I poured COUNTLESS hours into getting. They tell us that the reason season 4 is all the same gear for every class and looks like SHIT anyways, is because they're putting all their time into WotLK, but if that's true, why are they rehashing old armor that actually means something to the people who actually EARNED it. Shit's fucked up.

When season 4 gear comes out are they gonna move season 2 gear to be bought with pvp honor or is it still going to be gladiator's gear?

Teir 3 warlocks look like desert people from star wars or something. I think Warriors had about the best looking tier 3.

Yea, season 2 will become the new "welfare epic", and they have Guardian set, which takes over the Vindicator set (boots, belt, bracers, ring, neck).

Tier 3 warrior was amazing, I still have 6/9 on my warrior, I would run around with it or Tier 2.5 or 2 on and just have fun. I don't play my warrior anymore, but it's sad for me to think they're effectively destroying all of the stuff I worked hard to get. Pre-BC was not the cake walk WoW is now, you would raid from 6-1 6 days a week with 40 people to clear content. Naxx was actually a hard instance, Black Temple is not even close to Naxx. Oh, that brings up another thing, did you hear they're bringing back Naxx in the expansion? I like the idea, but Naxx shouldn't be anything other than a 40 man, how the hell are people going to do the encounters, I already know Blizzard is going to destroy the old Naxx, and make the new one a joke. You needed 16 healers for most encounters, and for 4 Horsemen, you needed 8 tanks, how can you do that with 25 man raids, it's just stupid.

I am glad you told me that about the s2 gear being honor bought. I had to start over on Vyns account. My warrior is 56, so when i get to 70 i will just save my honor for when the new season comes out and get a few pieces at once.

I played a rogue main when we started into Naxx. I can't remember the bosses name but i remember having fun dodge tanking with evasion while the priests redid mind control. I was usually first up as at the time i had the best dodge of the rogues in my guild.

If I wanted "realistic" I wouldn't be looking for it from a game where people throw fireballs out of their hands.

As for WoW and replacing gear, isn't that pretty much the whole point of the game? Work for months for something only to turn around and have to do it all over again because it's obsolete (given to the masses)/replaced with something newer.
