Guild Banner

So after watching the guild video, I got to thinking, who do you think would be the best choice for a banner bearer? I think a tank would be ideal due to lasting capabilities without the use of skills. I may be partial because I'm going to be a tank and want to hold a banner, but thats just me :P.

Tank. Preferably with a healer keeping an eye on him, and maybe a melee dps helping him out if there is manpower Maybe i am a little biased but i think a Black Guard would be the best choice out of the 3 tanks. Black Guard not so hulking big, blend into the crowd a little better

Tank....for the reasons stated above and the fact that I don't want to be the bearer.

im the lone wolf so far....

but im saying ranged dps

preferably whichever one has the highest armor/survivability capabilities (prolly gonna be the magus)

because honestly....i have no idea why you would want your flag on the front line when it has a radius effect on it....

backline flag: safe from getting stolen, they have to walk thru EVERYONE to get it

frontline flag: you basically hand them the flag on a platter


and since its radius...units in front will get benefits if its in back (and vice versa)

just my 2 cents tho... but you do gotta admit, it makes the most sense

(p.s: watch the banner video...it states you have to drop it to get additional benefits, so ud want it in the back, on a ranged)

I say healer, if the WAR banners are anything like the DAoC banners, if the holder dies the enemy can take it, so rather have it on a toon that we know is going to be keeping his distance and keeping it safe

A Tank does not have to be on the frontline. Preferably you would want him midfield, depending on how big the radius is so people in front and behind get the buff effects from the banner. At mid field he would have tanks in front of him and ranged dps and healers behind him. He would be in no way an easy target.

My sediments exactly. Since the tank wont be able to use his abilities theres no reason for him to be on the front line. I just dont want to see some witch hunter get off a lucky shot on a squishy magus or healer and in an instant, there goes our banner. With a tank in the middle, you know you have survivability.
