I always try to max my main first. Then I work on alts.

Try only making two characters and switching out between only those two when things get boring. That way, instead of being pulled in ten different directions, you're only being pulled in two. And before you know it, you'll have TWO characters who are max level.

The secret to sticking to one toon is the carrot on a stick. Know your main and where you want to go.

For example suppose you are level 23 and you are starting to get bored. You could say today I will get 1/2 the way to 24 or take a look at the online databases to find the next PQ or dungeon that may get you a sweet new sword. Once you get that carrot go and play one of the alts for "fun".

If you set little daily goals for your main and meet them before going to play the alts you feel twice as good because not only will you get the satisfaction of playing a new class but you will also be making steady advancement with your main.

there is nothing wrong with playing alts. i haven't maxed anything in AoC yet. got several 60's tho. Guard, Conq, PoM, ToS and an Ass. still working the others. i just dont feel like playing certain classes some days. its all about having a good time.

I get way more pleasure out of having just 1 royally pimptastic toon than having 4 mediocre ones. My druid in WoW was legendary, being the only character I ever played and since I played from launch EVERYONE knew who I was. There is a great stroke of the epeen when this occurs. You never get that epeen satisfaction with a bunch of alts.

just pick the class that fits your style most and trust the game to balance all of them out. no need to switch from there as long as you do research what to use against the ohter classes.

im also a altaholics but it will be different as a beginn playing war .You have to focue the high lv stuff and the game not ends with the max lv so i think i will not have any problems at war ^^
