i'm not remotely excited about it coz I hate wow, tho I think they might make good epic movie especially since it doesn't look like it's going to be CGI (like Final Fantasy: Spirits Within) but LOTR like epic movie. As much as I hate WoW, I'll go and see the movie if it ever comes out, probably hoping it fails to deliver while watching it......lol, now that's just plain ignorant/mean from my side isn't it hahaha.

Back on topic. I had a discussion about this with afew friends awhile back. We cam to the conclusion that rather than a movie WoW would be beater as a TV series. Why? That way you can have actual character development. Get Joss "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Whedon to Write/Direct and fun times.

Yep, that's based on the first Dungeon Siege game. I'm surprised so many well known actors agreed to act in it.

As much as I'd hate to say it, it may be good for the MMO community as a whole depending on what market they tardet for the movie. As long as it's not a PG13 I think it will be good to get some new blood brought in by the movie. I never heard of an MMO until SWG and that was found by mistake. None of my old time RL friends have a clue about MMO's so I think if those guys got to see that movie it would spark their interest. Just a thought.

All we can hope for, for ANY movie ever released is that the writer/director from Ultraviolet dont get together again! For those of you who saw that poor sad exuse for a movie, Im sure you understand.

It will be good for the mmo community. Too bad it's a Warhammer rip-off, instead of an actual Warhammer movie, which would make for a better movie. The only WoW movie i want to see would have to be a parody

we could make a whole different thread about how blizzard ripped off Starcraft and Warcraft from Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer. I can't believe they did and do still get away with it.
