Smokin' Aces...

I saw Smokin' Aces on Saturday night It was a great movie. It had a lot of comedy, a lot of seriousness, a lot of twists and turns you never expect.

The character development wasnt that deep, but i think it was made up for, and you dont even think about it watching the movie. Its a pumped up adrenaline movie. Sort of Quentin Tarantino meets Guy Ritche. I enjoyed the movie a lot.

I watched it last night myself. It was better than I expected.......there could've been more, drawn out shoot outs though....Alicia Keys was looking damn good too. Pretty good movie overall though.

4/5 from the "beastmaster"

yea i pulled KIdriot at 1230 at night to watch it with me ... lol it was the shit ... just a crazy bunch of people shooting the shit out of each other...
lots of funny stupid jokes and ... yea

i give it 4/5

I went and saw it on Saturday afternoon so I could beat the rush of kiddos that night and save a couple bucks since movies are so damn expensive now. Anyways, I thought it was a great movie. Enough action and twists to keep you interested (even though I figured out the big one kinda early in the movie) and I enjoy any movie with Ryan Reynolds and absolutely loved how he ended the movie.

Just watched it. 9.5/10. The only thing that I really didn't like in the movie are Tremor brothers. They just didn't seem professional in all that professional business.

Lol. I'm going to cite you guys as saying this was a date movie since Death's Hands stated that you made such a comment.

Hopefully it'll get my gf interested and she won't bother to look up the movie before we attend.

I agree that Smokin' Aces was better than i would have ever thought. It had some awesome fights.

***SPOILERS***

This movie was for me dissapointing. There was all this build up, a bunch of cool and interesting characters, and for what? It has the set up of an awesome Pulp Fiction meets Die Hard type action movie, and suddenly it decides it wants to be a political spy thriller? The last half of the movie should have just been shoot outs.

Not only was the twist not neccessary, but why do we care about that FBI agent? He wasn't even a character. If you're going to throw in a twist, throw it in with an identifiable character at least. The twist is a flashback early in the movie wasn't right? Give me a break on that one.

I should say the movie was enjoyable, probably a 7/10, but the worst thing about it is that I could have put together a much better last half to it.
