When I was travelling I paid to go to 16 blocks - it was playing in theatre 17, but Libertine was playing in 16. I stopped, looked at the sign - Depp and Malkovich, hmmm, saw the preview but could not remember what it was about. After a 3 minute debate I went to Libertine. 7 people left and one was sleeping by the end (there were 13 in the theatre). I stuck it out till the end, but wow, should of went to 16 blocks.

The 2 best parts were seeing the preview for Staying Alive - (About gaming, if you get killed in the game you die in real life). Preview also said that 1 out of 4 of the 100 million gamers in North America are addicted.

The second was the name of Depp's slave/servant - All Cock thought that was pretty funny.

So I take it that it was a horrible movie? What's it even about? Whats bad about it?

The Movie is set in the late 1600's in England. Malkovich is the King and Depp is his "hate the world" brother. The opening scene grabs your interest as depp addresses the audience in a Blair Witch type setting saying the woman and men will both hate him.

Depp is a writer/poet who drinks for 5 years straight, sleeps around, kills a guy, orders all cock around and is enthralled by the playhouse in which he writes a play (requested by his brother) to impress the French. The Play is about dildos and pricks basically. He's an ass to everyone in the movie, especially to his wife, who stands by him, he's in love with some shitty actress. who he helps become a star of the playhouse and she "shits" on him. That's about it. Kinda funny in places, but is pretty slow and uninspiring. Depp is really quite good, but nothing really happens in the story to make it interesting.
