The movie was pretty good. Not a lot of scenes were changed from the book like some of the earlier movies, but it went way too fast, so much stuff was skipped throughout the movie.

It was highly entertaining throughout so the audience could still be entertained 100% of the time if they kept a lot more of the story intact. If you didn't read the book I assume the movie would make absolutely no sense at all.

Overall 8/10 from me.

I was actually pretty disappointed... while i understand cutting stuff out I always hate it when movies change stuff from the book to make the movie move smoothly...

Yea.. I was twitching in my seat....

Well, I haven't read any of the books; my girlfriend dragged me to this because she loves them. I watched some of the other movies so I pretty much was able to follow it. It did seem like it went by fast. It was decent I suppose, but I was expecting more from seeing the trailer. I just can't get into it 100% what with all the wands and broomsticks. Oh well, it wasn't horrible and I had good company.

I went and saw it at an IMAX the other day. I must say, I like IMAX theatres. If they ever manage to get specific parts of the body and other objects to pop out instead of mainly just contours then it will be awesome. If you haven't been at an IMAX, certain scenes it looks like a pop-up book pretty much. Anyways...

...it was good, but a little disappointing. I too read the books and I understand that they have to cut stuff out. But there were so many little things that people who do not read the books can be confused by if they pay attention to it. And I agree with the two people who posted before me, it moves entirely too fast. I think they needed to add another half hour to the movie, but that would make it a three hour movie which most people don't want to sit through. Overall I think it was good, just a little disappointing.

I saw with my friends and we all thought it was the best of the Harry Potter films by far, fast paste, but I still really enjoyed it. I saw an interview with the actors and what not and they said that they were trying to make it more of a dark movie and I think they did that well. I also liked it that they didn't make it a 10 minute death seen when serius died.

Yea the friends I went with who never read the books all said they felt like they were missing something or inside jokes in allot of the scenes. Unlike the other movies that made it smooth for none readers this one actually felt like they were missing something which made it unenjoyable for them.. at least I knew what was missing and what was going on hehe.

Yea I like how his death was short.... at the same time I hate how they changed what it was supposed to look like.

Yeah, wasn't it actually him dueling Bellatrix, then he's hit by a red light, goes down smiling then a face of fear or something like that as he falls behind the veil? May have to crack that book open again...

ahhh close I think Bellatrix is dueling the morphing girl (drew a blank sorry), stuns her and hits him right after he hit malphoy. He turns to see Harry on the stairs and gets hit, smiles at Harry falls back, then fear right before the veil.

and i think thats also why Harry drops the prophet which is THEN when its NOT heard by ANYONE

i don't read he books, but my g/f does which is why we went to go see this. Saw it in IMAX and thought that only getting about 15-20 minutes of 3-d effects wasn't worth the extra $4. I was disappointed in the movie, the first half of the movie dragged by in my opinion and then it all of picked up. I really wanted to reach through the screen and murder the villain lady from the ministry that wears all pink and has a cat obsession, most annoying movie character ever.

my g/f liked it, so i suppose reading the books has some effect on your opinion of the movie. id give it a 7/10
