My god. This one is freaking crazy.
Its a story about two star crossed lovers. Bot in a diffrent clan way back then in Japan. Theyre treaty was broken when the Ieyasu (i think thats how you spell it) had an ambition. The goal was to have a deathmatch consisting of 20 people. 10 for the Kougan and 10 for the Iga clan.
Meanwhile the leader of both clans were inlove and wanted piece. But wouldnt you know it the peace was broken when the elimination started.
Those clans were rivals for a very long time. ANd they would have killed each other anyways without the treaty. Thus the treaty being broken they can kill each other off.

The action in this anime is nothing like i have ever seen, reminds me of Ninja scroll a lil bit but really diffrent. Battles are over the top and it actually takes skill and cunning to win against someone. haha. my god they are short, bloody, crazy battles.

Great anime. havent finished yet but Im pretty sure I will finish soon.

I stopped watching around 18 or so...right when it got licensed. I know how it ends *since I've seen the movie which I think was called Shinobi: Heart Under Blade* eh, I bet the anime was better than the movie, but the movie was good. It's difficult to do a bad kung-fu/ninja-ish movie IMO. But man, Gennosuke was a badass and his master Hyouma was awesome for a blind guy!

And what's not to like about the deadly beauties?

TV-Links only has Episode 1, 5, and like 26 or something. It's horrible
