one thing that i noticed n i disliked was that suddenly there are terrorists in iron man, the reason he built his suit was to battle crime n such not because terrorists captured him, otherwise the movie looks like its just gonna be like another version of spiderman imo, guy gets super powers, meets girl, girl thinks hes an asshole coz he allways dissapears when hes off fighting crime, girl finds out who he is, girl gets kidnapped by baddie etc.

http://media.movies.ign.com/media/03...d_2304485.html Sorry, but I have to disagree wth you there. For several reasons... First, and yeah it is a petty point but still fairly important IMHO, there are no super powers involved. On top of that Iron Man isn't exactly a "coming of age" story like Spider Man. Stark doesn't start out as a nobody, he starts as an extremely successful owner of an advanced weapons manufacturing company. Oh and the love interest in this movie appears to be his personal assistant (gwyneth paltrow). Secondly, I was skeptical, as you are, about how he builds the suit in the first place. However after brushing up a bit on my Iron Man origins...he was actually captured and ordered to build weapons by some type of foreign adversary...it seems to have been updated on several occasions to be current with the times. It seems to me as though they, simply, just did that again. The best part of this movie for me however...was that they started the big VFX action shots long before they started shooting the movie. Basically an industry first, considering they hadn't even cast the lead role yet. Therefore the VFX artists could take their time and do it right instead of being rushed cramped between filming and release deadlines. Yay, John Favreau! Not only that but it actually looks really, really funny. And to me they couldn't have found anyone better than RDjr to play that role, his delivery is great.

The Trailer looks amazing imo
Christine Everheart: Mr. Stark, you've been called the Da Vinci of our time; what do you say to that? Tony Stark: Absolutely ridiculous, I don't paint. Christine Everheart: What do you say to your other nickname, the 'Merchant of Death'? Tony Stark: That's not bad. Whats not to love? |

it looks promising, although i hate that i have to wait for "Iron Man 2" for War Machine(who is far better than Iron Man if i do say)
