Across the Universe

The movie was great. Yes there is a lot of singing in it, and represents a troubled time in America, but damn it, the movie was awesome. I can't say much more other than that the movie was very enjoyable.

Any thoughts on the movie?

Mind blowing visuals. And I'm not talking about the psycho multicolored stuff they used for the bus.
This movie will forever change how you view the Beatles music.
Strawberry Fields Forever shook me to the core.

Yea what he said ;]
Greatly movie good visual my only reservations were that they didn't give major characters their own songs (and they did Lucy in the sky for credits)

Besides that kickass movie =]

It was kinda hit or miss for each song for me.
Luckily most of them hit.

The ones that didn't fly for me:
For the benefit of Mr.K
Blackbird(sadly)
I am the Walrus
and
Hey Jude(also sadly)

But the good news is that for the 4 I just named there are like 27 that were exceptional.
Man, I gotta get this DVD...

Personally I thought I am the Walrus was done really well thats who I imagined when I heard the song (either that or Egghead from the Sonic serious =P) but I must admit for the benefit of Mr.K wasn't portrayed right...

I thought it was pretty good. My girlfriend wanted to see it so I assumed it was a chick flick, but it wasn't bad.

Bono was hilarious as a hippy.

My gf and I were cracking up when Max's mom said:
"Max always seem to attract dubious people. He's probably surrounded by promiscuous dope fiends."

That line is one of the best in the movie.
