Anyone seen "Control"?

greetings all. i happen to live in Japan, so i tend to get movies later than those of y'all over in the States. has anyone seen the movie about Joy Division entitle "Control"? i am planning on seeing it here (it's playing at an art museum actually) but movies here are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. so i'm debating maybe not going. in the end i probably will, being a huge Joy Division fan.

anyhow, if anyone has any opinions on the flick, let me know, and thanks!

Just out of curiosity, how much are the movies over there?
And I personally have never heard of Joy Division, but if you can give it some backing I'll check it out.

Joy Division is a post-punk band from late70's/early 80's England (Manchester) who weren't around long because their lead singer, Ian Curtis, killed himself. this is the driving story behind the movie. the remaining members of the band went on to form New Order, which was hugely successful, and both New Order and Joy Division were both hugely influential on many other bands (for example: Nine Inch Nails; NIN cover a Joy Division song on the soundtrack for the first "The Crow" movie) if this piques your interest, google/wikipedia them or download a song or two. they are maybe my favorite band ever, and i highly recommend them. very dark, moody, but brilliant, and way ahead of their (brief) time.

as to movie prices in Japan, they're awful. like, around $16 at least. but this movie is showing at a museum (of photography) so i am hoping the price won't be that bad.

I haven't seen the show or even seen it advertised, strange. Since they are showing it in a museum I take it covers the Japanese joy division stemming from WW2? (I think WW2, my history is a bit dusty).
