Yeah I was a band nerd, and they needed another clarinet player for a duet so i volunteered thinking it would be easy since i played sax. I found out real quick that that was not the case. I picked it up fairly quick though.

Hahaha! I guess I'm not the only one....I've been playing saxophone (primarily alto) for the past 10 years...Picked up Clarinet last year because my high school's advanced orchestra needed a second clarinet player. Sax is where my passion is, and I actually was given the opportunity to play professionally for a few gigs...I play saxophone for fun, now that I'm out of high school, but I was extremely competitive beforehand. I also can bust a few major scales out on trumpet, and own a keyboard and acoustic guitar as well, but they're not my fortes by a long shot. If I ever get into a new instrument, however, it will be the violin. I just love the sound a *good* violin player can make and I'd like to give it a shot, and I need a new challenge!

Seriously though, I have been playing clarinet for a while. I also love to play guitar when I don't feel like starting my work yet.

I have played sax since grade 6 i think, so 7 years. used to play alto but switched to tenor somewhere along the line. im ok at it, nothing special but i can play, do solos that don't sound half bad. one thing im proud of is learning how to growl into it.

total band geek here... I play Trombone mainly but I also play baritone, tuba, tumpet, a little keyboard and a little guitar/bass.
I usually play Baritone in concert/symphony but when marching season is in im fully Trombone.

In fact i'm drum major in my schools marching band

I play bass as well. Ibanez Prestige 3006 and 3005. Was in a rock Band in Orlando, got to play at Hard Rock. Three members wanted to go Indie, but I didn't. Fun times though.
