Heh i guess anything passes for a song lol..

Try listening to the whole song, it kinda has symbolism and stuff. Listening and thinking isn't for everyone.

This song will grow on you and then you will grow to hate it, lol. 1 day with it stuck in your head and you will want to blow your brains out.

Flobots, lol, Denver's finest.

The video for that song is really good, and kind of puts it into perspective.

I don't pretend to understand subtleties, but what does the beginning "I can ride my bike with no handle bars" Symbolize?

I realize the rest of the song may have meaning, but what of the beginning?

Bassically saying that that's the biggest worry that these two friends have at the time. They aren't thinking about war or controlling the public or money, all they're thinking about is: "Yeah? Well, I can ride my bike with no handle bars."

It's saying that they're care free and just enjoying life.

Going along with that, its just symbolizes how the beginnings are simple and care free, then towards the end it can get complicated and horrible.
