ahh man, I used to listen to pink floyd every day after school.

I have every drum beat of the wall memorized, every note. i used to close my eyes and listen to the whole thing. It was better than a movie.

The wall is a two disc album, later it was made into a musical/movie.. And hopefully they wont quit in making it a broadway production.. but I havnt heard anything about that in a few years.. 3 years maybe.

Make sure (to anybody who is interested) that you check out the albums Wish You Were Here and Animals. Gilmour is THE BEST at guitar.. His guitar cries out with so much emotion. If you smoke pot and haven't tried listening to pink floyd, you're the only person, and you should definitely see what the big deal is., do it now.

edit: I fixed some mistakes

haha no their is no 30 min song by floyd I know of...
They do have another brick in the wall, that was broken into 3 parts but for the most party they just repeat the song if not add a bit on the end each time...
Shine on you crazy diamond was probably some of their longer stuff on their later albums (after Mother) but yea... They could jam

Yea I agree Wish you were is my favorite album, the beginning of Wish you were here completely puts me in another world because it is so deep

I love Pink Floyd. Anytime I hear a Gilmore guitar solo it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Amazing guitarist!

I guess I'll be the first person to say that Pink Floyd isn't that good. Not to say thousands of other people don't let their music; but I just cannot get into it I guess. There are too many gaps of sound for my liking.

Their longest song is Echoes. It comes in somewhere around 23 minutes. I know thats the longest from any LP, it's on the album Meddle.

And yeah they took some pretty heavy drugs. but.. then again so does every other musician. I think pink floyd may have really pushed their limits though lol.

I know what you mean, it takes a special attitude for me to listen to floyd. I have to be very relaxed to be able to focus the music, or else I get bored.

Hands down the best band of the 70's. Not only thier music is capturing, look at thier history...look at the books "Mind Over Matter" by Storm Thorgerson.

Im an avid collector of anything Floyd. I got every CD and DVD. Got limited editions...Shine On box set. (no not the new one "O By The Way") still gotta get the new Piper (40th Anni.) Got all thier solos (Gilmour,Waters,Mason,Barrett) Dont think Wright ever made a solo...if so please let me know I've never seen it.

Favorite song: "High Hopes"
Favorite CD: Momentary Lapse of Reason

Much Love Showtime!
