Company of Heroes

If you haven't heard of it yet, Company of Heroes is a WWII RTS game.... but don't think it's just another WWII RTS. It's from Relic, the guys who made Dawn of War, but it's definately a more realistic strategy game. Heroes the overview:

If you are familar with the game, what do you think of it?

I personally think it looks incredible. The AI should help you really worry about tactics more than telling individual units what to do. But my personal favorite is the awesome sounding multiplayer, which has teamplay where each team has one army even allows you to choose a class that gives you strengths and weakenesses.

I read up some info on the game.....very nice stuff they have going on for them. Grabbing supply points instead of building bases will be a nice change. Let's you have more fun with all the awesome units. It really never gets old smashing on Nazi's does it?

Unless you prefer to play AS the nazis...then no, it doesn't get old smashing the allies to pieces

Also, they just announced a stand alone expansion coming out soon. Adding two new "races", and changing up the gameplay somewhat.

I may have to pick this up, this weekend. Then I'd be down to play with you all.
but hopefully not on hamachi.
I love the hamachi tool, but it dose slow down network resourses quite a bit.
And I wouldn't want you guys complaining about thats why I stomped you.

I almost waited for the expansion, but I decided to just pick this up, it was only $30.

Hamachi is a program that basically lets you play LAN games over the internet

and we don't have to use it really, I just figured we could for ease of use... plus it might be easier if you wanna play with mods, but either way. I found a nice graphical upgrade mod with a bunch of better skins.

I still have the game somewhere and I use to be decent at it. And I surprisingly have hamachi too. I'm up for it sometime, but I've been busy recently, damn real life.

Also this game isn't very newbie friendly, mistakes really do cost you.

I grabbed a copy this weekend. its pretty cool. Still playing the single player campain.
