Zapp: You see, Killbots have a preset kill limit. Knowing their weakness, I sent wave after wave of my own men at them, until they reached their limit and shutdown. Kif, show them the medal I won. [Kif sighs and points to a medal on Zapp's uniform.] |

The demo to this is available tomorrow (the 6th). I'm pretty sure it's for both the xbox AND pc. From what I've heard, it's also online too.

I pre-ordered the Xbox 360 version on Tuesday, and I was eagerly awaiting downloading the demo on the 6th, but unfortunately when I asked the Gamestop store "Is there anything else I need to do?" when buying the game, they failed to mention that I needed to provide an email address (for getting the demo of L4D). So I went to the Gamespot website and filled out that little form for people who didn't give their emails. I doubt filling that stuff out on the website will get me the demo. What ticks me off the most is that this isn't some technical glitch, its the people at Gamestop that screwed up. This is probably the only demo that I am really interested in.. in a long time (I usually don't play demos much).
On that note, anyone have a code that they haven't used and don't want? ![]()

Ok, I got my code late yesterday and played the demo. I have to say, it's one of the most fun experiences I've had in a while concerning an FPS game. The demo allows you to play through part of a campaign (it's only like 2-3 levels or whatever) but it gets your feet wet. Also, with the demo you can only play
This is a "Dawn of the Dead" game. The zombies in there if they are able to run, they really do run at you. No, they fucking SPRINT at you in a zombie fashion. You remember those FPS's that as long as you stand behind a couch, table, or something they really can't do shit to you? Not in this game, it's one of the first things I did when I started playing. I was like "Hmmm.. should be safe behind this kitchen tabletop", nope. The zombies quickly climb the table and launch at you. The zombies can break through normal wooden doors, you see chunks of the door being punched through until the thing eventually breaks. There are 4 types of zombie classes (aside from the typical NPC zombies, undead witch things, etc) that can cause you issues. They are the 'main' bad guys of the zombie side. One is a smoker type of guy, one is a jumper, another is this big exploding blob, and the last is this muscle guy that can tear you a new one. The smoker has like this sickening gas coming from it that causes your vision to be messed, your character gags a bit, and also his this grampling tongue that can cause you problems. There has been a number of occassions where this thing was pulling me up a wall and I'm hanging there helpless and struggling while my team (player team) tries to take it out. The jumper can leap at you very fast from pretty far away (not too far, but far enough), and once your lept on he can ravage you in a bloody gorefest. As with the jumper goring you, and the smoker catching you with it's tongue, you need player help to get out or your dead. With that comes a lot of teamwork, you really need to depend on each other at various times, and you really need to stick together and work somewhat as a team at least. The Big blob zombie is slow, but it has the ability to basically vomit on you with goo. Doesn't sound bad does it? But the green goo acts like honey to bears, and in the case of zombies... a huge mob of them comes after you in one giant zerg. There has been a number of times where I was mobbed after being sprayed, to the point where I was knocked to the ground and shooting with my handguns desperately trying to stay alive and get them off me. Also, I should point out that when your sprayed, you can't see very well. So on top of trying to get a zombie horde off you, you also have to contend with trying to see. The big muscle zombie can rip you a new one pretty fast. It can smash down obstacles that normal zombies can't get past. For example, at one point I was extremely injured and chilling inside a subway car, people on their mic's were screaming "muscle dude" or whatever and I looked out the window of the subway car. I saw him ravaging my team while I was shooting away out the window at it. Eventually I guess I ticked it off enough, so it comes charging the subway car and in my mind.. I thought I was safe, afterall I was protected by a steel door. Nope. After a couple swings it broke the door down, ran in and owned my face. Here's a glimpse of it (not my vid, just for those who haven't seen it yet). This is the first portion of the demo.

I got the 360 version because the bulk of my friends don't have computer's able to handle that game. But, before I pre-ordered the 360 version I came to the conclusion that if I liked the game down the road still, I would get the PC version because of the mods/maps.
