Clairifying something on Live...

So i know me and monkey can both play on different gamer tags on live, but does that mean she has to sign up for a subscription to live just like i have? (ie. pay to play as well)? Or can we just make her account a "live account" and both play ranked games? =X Halo 3 is my first time using live really, so im a little confused =)

If you want you and her playing at the same time on live with her on her own GT. She has to get her own live subscription for $50 a year.
