Guild Wars
Well, I was wondering what the status on this game is. Is it "blah" or "yah?"
And how expensive are all of the expansions? Is there a pack that includes them all that's cheaper than buying them individually? See, I played the original GW and still have it. I've been looking for a game that I can jump into for a few minutes then sign off if I need to. But I also what a game that has interaction with other people. Did I mention not paying a monthly fee rocks? Anyways, just wanted to know if it was worth getting or not.

I have Guild Wars: Prophecies (Original game) and two of it's "expansions" called GW: Factions, and GW: Nightfall. I prefer the original over the other two. Factions while a decent idea just introduced re-hashed skills.
Nightfall completely ruined the game IMO. Instead of partying with actual other people (real live humans! OMG!) people just partied with their "heros" they had buffed up and aquired. I found the game even more solo friendly and it goes against the whole idea of a MMO...which is meant to be played with others. After that I lost faith in NCSoft and went back to playing Prophecies only, when Eye of the North came out I didn't buy the expansion. Like Pedro said, it's a fun game for a short while, after that it's just boring. It should have never gone past the first game honestly.

Yeah, after I read about the heroes at first I was excited because there were often times where I just wanted to get a mission done because there was nobody there and henchmen weren't strong enough. Then I began to wonder if people even partied together anymore. I guess you pretty much answered my question about that.

I recently went to re-vist the game and i find that its till very populated and i was finding groups no problem. It's not as fun as i remember it to be, and it seems like they haven't added much to it at all aside from the "expansions" witch are really more of a stand alone game. All in all its still a time killer.
