I haven't read up on dynasty warriors 6, but it seems that the dynasty warrior games, while not bad games.. they don't ever seem to get "better", if you know what I mean. I'm biased though, because I've been waiting for a solid Japanese RPG for the 360 for quite a while. |

I just bought it yesterday, and I am very pleased despite the bad packaging(which didn't seem like a big deal to me).
My discs look brand new, with no scratches /shrug. The story telling in this game is absolutely phenomenal, I doubt you will be disappointed. |

I played lost od...and i think its awesome. The combat system like stated above is like FF but a little different. I love it though. When you get into 22 hrs of game play tho there is a part when it is serioulsy like 1.5-2 hrs of just cinematics. Not in a straight line but pretty close.
On the dynasty warrior 6 question, i played it and its just like the other ones with a little better graphics. The graphics considering its for 360 are horrible. But its just like the old ones with a renu system which makes your attack chains continuous and much longer. Its no more square square square triangle like on ps2 its just x x x x x x x x x and you do a bunch of different attacks once your renue bar is full. Its hard to explain. Also there is a whole new leveling system which finally makes you think you can customize your character. But in reality you just unlock everything in the tree once you hit the max rank which is 50 which is sort of a downfall. There are no legendary weapons in dw6, and also its a pain in the ass to get redhare. All characters have new weapons, some are sweet, others suck. Dain wein (dont know how to spell it) Cao Caos body guard in the other ones with the huge one handed axe... now has a huge chain morning star like weapon now. Sounds sweet right?...well its horrible. Lu Bu is again the main power house and his weapons at first look weird but are pretty sweet. IMO to many characters weapons are halberd/spears now when they should have added more swords/axe. Thats just my imo tho. Overall they made the game a little harder to beat in muso now. You actualy have to defend your base because your general cant defend himself for shit and if he dies you lose. You rack up more kills in this dw to than others. In the other dws basicaly in Hau long gate or whatever was one of the levels where you could get like 1500-2000 kbs in a map. In one of the musos i played in i got 2200 in 2 stages in a row (And it wasnt hu long gate) |

At the moment I am finishing disc 3 out of 4. Its really good some exceptions though... there is a HEFTY amount of cinematec, it is all really good but don't try and play a section if you are rushed or else you'll miss out on the plot plus the great visuals. Also all the dreams are long, elegant stories with background images and sounds but it takes a long time (some are actually really sad).
Combat system is really good for the game. If you are willing to explore you will find some really cool things that most guides (apart from the official one for 20 bucks) wont give you. I'll definitely have to spend a couple extra hours completing side quests/ epic weapons. Only thing i wish was different, was that there were more equip options (you only have weapon, ring, trinket). Really good if you want to spend about 30-40 hours of your time on it depending on how much you do/ if you use a guide or not. I really love it and I am a huge FF fan. |
