Total War : Empire

I think I'm dense, I've never heard about this before until I stumbled on it.

Its not very well known not much info so yeah, but yeah i cant wait i love the Total War seires of games so i cant wait to paly as Britain and retake the colonies.

Yep the next one in line seems they are moving chronologically if you dont count the 'old gen' MTW 1 and Shogun TW. Rome--> Barbarian Invasion ----> Medieval to Early Colonization of the New World----> Colonization Age---->Modern Day??

Whats gonna be interesting with this one is how they pull off ship battles, supposedely weather and such has an effect on it. im probably gonna get it seeing as how i own every Total War game since the very first one Medieval Total War 1.

I suppose the next one would be the napoleaonic era, amercian revolution, and civil war. They still used lined combat, cavalry, cannons, etc.

What im wondering is whether the entire world will be up for colonization india, asia, oceania etc.

I hope so, but i doubt it i wonder how they are going to have colonization work but then again it might jsut be the same as the other games when you take over a terriorty

Maybe im just crazy, but it be sweet if they made a Civilization/Total War combo game. With the era spanning time tables and great city/country development of Civ4, with the battle gameplay and rpg'ish nature of the armies in Total War.

But to be honest, i think the coolest part would be having phalanx warriors go up against marines, or watch as a bomber attacks a chariot. And unless your the chariot, thats gotta be awesome to watch heh.

Im sure this would probably take years to code and even more time to make good, but it would be sweet.

Although interesting, I don't think I'd like to see MG42's mow'ing down people with swords lol. I remember this one time in Civ2 I was playing on medium to medium hard or whatever.. and I quickly conquered a few other nations in the first 1000 years (BC). I had gunpowder before 1AD, I had nuclear weapons by about 1000AD or so.

I usually won the Civ game's by using a tremendous amount of nuclear weapons.
