Where's all the good RPG's for PC?

Im looking over alot of the older RPG titles for PC to tide me over. I was supposed to get an xbox360, but I got a stomach virus, missed 4 days of work and now paying hospital bills so I'm looking for some cheap entertainment.

I searched for Diablo etc but they seem so...retro. I must be aging because the graphics for Might and Magic and Baldur's Gate seem just so terrible to play with now.

Any idea's? Im interested in party-based rpg's, but I'd be willing to play something like Oblivion etc.

lol, but seriously, are you talking MMO type games since you want to be in a party or single player?

It would depend on the quality of the game. I currently own Guild Wars but Im bored of it. I played Final Fantasy XI for 3 years, and I dont intend on returning to it. Age of Empires for 2-3 years and that's a dead game. I guess what I'm looking for is like a Champions of Norrath game, where you can play with your friends, but alas, the almight flaw of the PC is you cant game with your friends at home.

I bought Final Fantasy 7 for the PC on Ebay. Just got to be careful there are alot of japanese versions floating around. Make sure if your going to buy a retro game from ebay that it is the north american version.

You might be able to buy something like original Morrowind.

Mass Effect just came out for the PC, supposedly improved over the 360 edition too.
That should keep you busy for a while.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is a bit older and it's still pretty good.
I remember Dungeon Siege being a pretty good game too.
edit: There's a game called Arcanum that I remember being pretty great, it's made by a group of some of the guys that made Fallout. If you can track down a copy I highly recommend it.

If you want to game online though I can't think of anything better than good ol D2.

I'd like to ask the same question for my PS3!!

I agree with Zin about Mass Effect. Supposed to be great.
I always recommend Oblivion, that game is fantastic and will last a long time.

Knights of the Old Republic if you haven't played that one and Jade Empire are fine Bioware RPG's.

Best single player RPG for comp: Arcanum!... well it's tied with Morrowind.

Man if you havent played the Fallouts play em, its essential gaming, but if you're looking for some newer and with better graphics, i guess neverwinter nights 2 or something.
