I think WWII is a great setting, even if it has been done by a lot of games.

There isn't any 'advanced' stuff like the UAV and helicopters in COD4, it's just down to the infantry.

Well I don't see any flamethrowers on modern day battlefields. That alone wins the past some major kudos imo.

I felt the same way when I first started looking into it. CoD3 was a huge disappointment for me.

But, after reading more into it and checking out the videos and screenshots, I think I'll let myself at least get a little excited. It is nice to see that they went back to WWII. Loved CoD 1 & 2.
