Diablo 3 Officially Announced

Diablo 2 was one of my first games to play on the pc, back then i wasnt even connected to the internets so there is no way id have been overhyped bout the game but correct me if im wrong but did you not have to constantly run into a zone clear out the mobs, relog n do it again constantly? Sure the first act was pretty easy to lvl but 2nd 3rd n come the xpac onwards it got ridiculously boring.

Perhaps the fact that it was such a big breakthrough back then is why people still praise it but it felt way too grindy for my tastes.

EDIT, i mean start a new character now n start playing, see if its the same as you remember.

You can think of anything as a grind fest in any game.

Its how you play the game that counts towards weather or not its fun to play, diablo series has always been a blast together in co-op with mates.

Perhaps, im talking purely bout single player here though -perhaps shoulda specified it.

And by grind fest i mean killing the same mobs in the same zone constantly, i remember running into a dungeon or w/e, roll through the packs of mobs making portals to sell mah junk n then once i had cleared out the dungeon/cave/zone id save n exit n then run back in to grind again n do this alot without the motivation of an MMO i.e. play with others end game.

I want to see a game with only bosses all different abilities and looks all the time. You can spec your character from a bunch of abilities before each bosses and you choose to spec anyway you wish in order to defeat the next boss which you know a bit about from a description. The farther you get in the game the more abilities you can put points in...

The abilities are generated randomly and so do the bosses.... makes a game with no ending and always as original!

By your lonesome, yes diablo gets very repeative and grindy.

But online with other people, it feels like a different experience.

Now this idea sounds quite intriguing. I'd play a game that adapted this style in a heart beat just to try it out. Shadows of the Colossus is the only other game I know where it's just Epic boss fights, one after the other, and I absolutely loved that game.

i cant even begin to say how happy i am. espcially to find out they're keepin it old school by not makin u pay monthly n stuff...
