Getting Started

Here's a list of the first few things you should know in order to get started with this game. It wont go into detail of any of the more intricate bits and pieces of the game, however it will give you enough information to get you up and running.
After creating an account, the first choice you're presented with is which character you'd like to play. DT has a wide selection of character choices, with 8 classes in each of the 3 seperate realms. As far as this goes, there's no wrong choice you can make, with each of the classes having their own strengths and weaknesses (known as TOAD, which will be explained further down). The other primary difference is what equipment layout you'll get, as well as the lists of equipment you'll use to improve your adventurer. Have a read of the different realms and classes, and just pick what sounds like your style. Remember you can have many characters so don't be afraid to try a large group of them.
With this complete, you'll find yourself starting in the Tavern.

What do I do now?

Your first job as a champion of your realm is to use the TRAVEL option to get out into a location and start exploring. It's highly recommended that you start in Skyclaw Mountains or the Shattered Highlands as they're the most friendly for new adventurers. From there, you hit explore and watch as your character gets into battles with foes, defeats them and claims their treasure. Keep an eye on your wounds however! If you die you'll be sent back to the tavern with none of the items you've picked up since you last arrived.

Well i guess ill give a little review. So far my necro has hit lvl 5 and ran out of action points which basicly means i cant do anything for a little bit till i get enough back to go back to town. Its a web based game and really easy to pick up.

3 Realms each with its own set of classes. For example I made my guy on Deathland or something so the classes there were very "death" like such as Necromancer, Death Knight, etc. Im not sure what else there was, but looks like there is something for everyone.

Combat is pretty easy. You have 4 stats and they each have an advantage against another type or disadvantage. 2 Stats for Atk 2 or Def. When you encounter the creature the fighting is all done automatically for you and you'll see what ur base % of winning is. Then any modifiers like advantages or disadvantages with your stats and the thing your fighting. Then you see how many wounds you take. If you come out the other end then you win and get your loot. You dont get any loot you can equip, rather once you get back to town its all automatically sold giving the total value in gold.

If you die (havent yet and hope i dont) you get ported back to town and loose your gear you had on at the time and gold, but no xp loss. It seems like a big blow at first but its a good incentive to keeping gear up to date to avoid this. And luckily anytime you return to town all your gold is put into the bank before you head back out.

And like I said before you have a maximum of action points to explore a region and once they are up, you gotta wait till you get em back. A little bit of a pain but ill get over it. All in all its a fun game, easy to advance in levels and gold. Check this one out and let everyone know whatcha think about it.

Khaade, Bone Lord of the Deadlands. Also level 5 and ran out of actions for the day. Blew all 5000 gold I found so far on 2 weapons (dual weilding for the win)

I think its a good game for what it is. Keeping me entertained here at work. I'm thinking I'll be playing this for a long time

It's pretty decent so far. I'm running a steam crafter and a sanctioned alchemist. When you die, you just lose whatever loot you had accumulated thus far. Nothing happens to your worn items.

Won't that means that those playing Deadlands will have to fight you at lvl20 since you picked Steelsomething?
