Fighting Games

Anyone here play any fighting games at all? Street Fighter, Guilty Gear (my favorite), Soul Calibur, etc?

For those who don't know what Guilty Gear is, awesome fighter from japan. Huge cast (23) with every character viable, it all depends on the skill of the players. Of course some characters have more favorable matchups than others so stuff is tiered but in general there is no "If I don't play one of X characters I can't hope to win.".

The above link is of I-No who is considered one of the worse characters in the game, but Koichi plays her so well she turns this major competition into a sort of personal combo vid.

If you consider smash a fighting game then I play fighting games ;]

I do consider Smash a fighting game. While I do think it is fun, the crowd that comes to tournaments for it can be rather irksome.

Soul Caliber is my bread and butter. I love the game and cannot wait for the fourth game to be released later this month. Also I play Virtua Fighter and have dipped into Street Fighter Alpha 3. That is about it however, as I cannot seem to play a game unless I have a human opponent. Just isn't fun otherwise.

Another Soul Caliber player here.
I also find fighting games kind of boring unless you're fighting a human opponent, although the SC2 storyline was pretty enjoyable.

Wow, am I the only one who even plays Dead or Alive? Or even Tekken Tag? I love those games.

I play dead or alive. not much of a fan for soul calibur. My fav. is mortal kombat, can not beat fatalities.

The old ones were great, yeah. New ones suck.

I'd kill to have the good fatalities in the DC/Mortal Kombat game. I want to see a superhero ripped in half or blown into chunks.

Seeing Scorpion blow Superman up would make the game easily worth at least a rental for me, regardless of playability.
