Hi there,

I found your guild by posting on the AoC forums. I'd love to be in from the start but am still looking around and deciding where to go will probably take me a while.

Your guild stands out by two reasons:
visibility (posting on the forums, seeing the link everytime)
It looks like this would not be the first guild that you run.

AoC forums. It was in a thread where someone was doging the idea of starting a guild before the game. He did make some OK points, but I kept thinking, "hey, that is pretty cool, it shows a lot of enthusiasm and dedication for the game. I should start checking out some of the guilds." Like a post or two down was a LoS link in a sig... and here I am.

hehe

I found this guild by Thunderblade's sig on the AoC forums, I think I was his first official member, so there weren't too many other ways to find it.

About what Hagios was talking about: Being in an early guild isn't for everyone (which some people will find out as the months go by with no game). However, what always bothers me about people who post and tell people NOT to join a guild early is that while it's not for everyone, it IS right for some people. This is the 4th guild now in which I joined before the game came out (I think 4, my mind is fuzzy). One didn't make it, and that was rather sad... but it was the lack of leadership that doomed that guild. The second one I was in made it, but it was for SWG and I really had some issues with that game as it was released unfinished... I think to be fair to SWG I discovered that I'm more of a fantasy MMORPG player than sci-fi. The third early guild I joined a year before release, and is still going strong in WoW. That one is a great example of a success with early guilds. I feel very confident having seen the ups and downs of an early guild that Thunderblade is the right kind of leader to keep it all together... I'm very optimistic.

I first heard of Legions of steel through the AoC-forums and after keeping an eye open for posts made by members of the guild, I decided to dig deeper and create an account here on yer own site in order to better see how things are going for y'all. I must say that I am tempted to apply for membership, however I feel I must wait until I know more about the guild before applying. That's why I'm in this very thread now, to learn more about LoS ;]

Hope that made some sense.

While I was skimming through the AoC forums a couple of weeks ago, I came across this post - http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=2157

I immediately popped over to visit your site and was quite impressed with what I saw, it just took me a while to make the decision to apply or not.
