Hello all. I've been lurking about the AoC boards now for a little while now and decided it's never too early to find some good people to join up with when the game finally goes live. So here I am =)

I've been playing mmorpgs a long time. I started back when Kunark when live for EQ and played that for about 4 years. From there I went to DAOC for a little over a year and since then have played Lineage, FF, CoH/CoV and WoW. I'm currently playing DDO while I wait for AoC to be released later in the year or if by some miracle I get into beta, but I'm not holding my breath there.

Along the way I've been a class officer, recruitment officer, raid leader and even tried my hand at being a guild leader. While the guild was very successful and grew quickly it only lasted a few months. Being a guild leader wasn't for me since it makes me a not so nice person and I enjoy being a carefree, happy person when I play.

I love pve and pvp both, but I enjoy pvp just a bit more. I hate one on one pvp though so you'll never catch me dueling unless someone just keeps bothering me about it.

I was MT/MA for more raids than I can count in EQ and was MA in pvp for most games I've played since. I haven't played a tank since EQ, but plan on playing a Halberdier in AoC. I see them as the tank that gathers mass attention to themselves with their ae attacks holding the attention of large groups while the MA picks targets for everyone else to quickly drop enemies one at a time. If it truly plays that way that's the way I'll head since I like a challenge and a class that stays busy. Otherwise a waylayer since I see them as caster killers and with rangers to likely be MA on large battles since they can select targets from a distance.

I play between 20-40 hours a week CST. I'm not a big TV watcher so gaming and reading is what I do to relax after work. I'm 30 years old and have been married a little over a year now to a great woman who doesn't care about my love of online gaming at all as long as it doesn't interfere with real life responsibilities. Hell, the woman even bought me an Alienware for my birthday lol.
