Youslyboots's App
Hello.
Thank you for looking at my application. My name is Youslyboots. How do you do. 1. What are you looking for in a guild? Whether it be the largest guild running huge raids on enemy capitals or a small, tight knit group of friends that just level and experience the content together, I am really just looking for a guild where all the members know each other and acually cares. (Sound sorta corny?) Too often I have been in guilds where if someone doesn't show up, no one cares. In those guilds it was all about progression and was ran "Survival of the Fitess" style, where people were replaced without a second thought. I think a guild where people actually know you as more than the healer with the nice gear is a guild for me. And after looking at other applications and seeing that almost every one got atleast 9+ replies welcoming new applicants and wishing them good luck was really representitive of how connected this guild is. 2. What will make you a good member? I am a very social person. Even if there is nothing to do, it's fun to just sit on Vent or TS just talking to people and socializing. I can be very flexable. Because I am still in high school, my schedule isn't concrete and rarely can something not be changed or moved around if I am needed. I don't mind doing the "grunt work." Grinding can be VERY boring but sometimes it's needed. If you just give me a good CD and something to get I'll get it. I can bring a lot of energy to the table. I am usually one of the "yellers" (screamer sound too girly) when a new boss goes down that the guild has been working on for weeks. (If that's a "problem", I can always mute my mic beforehand )I can adapt easily. If were mixing up a stradegy to try something diffrent and I have to change roles, give me 1 or 2 attempts and I usually got it. I like to do reaserch on forums and talk about stradegys/therorycrafting about my character. Number crunching, not so much, but atleast I'll look at the numbers. 3. Have you been in a guild before? If so, which one(s)? The first serious guild I was in was way back in Pre-BC WoW. It was called Malicious Intent and was ran by a man known only as "Bulljangles" (He was a Tauren, lol) We mostly raided 20 mans like ZG and AQ20 because the 40 man requirement was too much for the guild. Broke up Pre-BC due to guild leader and wife leaving for another server. The next serious guild was after I had hit 70, and was named Enigma. Progressed through Kara, Gruul's Mag's, SSC, TK, most of MH and first few bosses of BT. The guild broke up when the GM and several officers server transfered to be in a new guild that was progressing faster in Bt than our guild (We had been stuck for about 1 1/2 months on BT) The most recent guild was formed from the remnants of Enigma and was named Death Group (awsome name right?) Easily recleared up to where Enigma had been and finished BT. About that time (a month ago) I just lost intrest in WoW and raiding, especially looking at Sunwell and the issues that would have caused. I left on friendly terms and still jump on vent to "BS" with the guildies every now and then. 4. Are you interested in PvP or PvE? Both? I usually take full advantage of all aspects of the game. Most of my guild expirience has been in the form of PVE but I regularly PVP'd with the guildies and enjoyed playing arena's with my friends. I am really looking forward to PVP in WAR because I love the idea that our open world PVP and battlegrounds are really worth something and effect the world. I hated how PVP was duled down to Arenas in WoW. It felt like the whole story of Alliance vs Horde had been forgotten, and no matter how many WSGs you won, you'd never capture it or make the status quo change. 5. What is your schedule like? I live on the West Coast, so my schedule for playtime is 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM PST on weekdays and almost anytime on weekends. Depending on my classes it could look diffrent. 6. What type of character do you play or plan on playing? My main for most of my WoW career was a Tauren Shaman and I was usually Restoration spec'd. I usually play a character that has a very cool mechanic behind it. I really like classes that can be both offensive and defensive types. Reading up on the classes, it looks like I'll be a 2nd Generation Shaman. I really love the WHAAAAGH!!! mechanic because if you just heal, or just damage, your not living up to your potential, but if you both heal and DPS, you can do so much more. If I had to pick a second class (in case you have lots of shamans) I would probably be a Choppa. Really like the who language thing and love them Greenskins. 7. Are you an RP'er? (We are not a RP guild) No, I am not an RP'er. Don't have anything against them, but I really just don't find describing my every move either fun or usefull. Now if there were prizes for RPing... 8. Where are you located? A small suburb outside of Portland, Oregon. Last edited by Youslyboots; 06-30-2008 at 04:02 AM. |
