1. What are you looking for in a guild?
Adults, mostly. I'm looking for a group of people that are willing to work towards a goal, whatever it may be, regardless of how difficult or unlikely that may seem. No members logging off mid-raid because the group's wiped repeatedly on a boss, or getting upset and defensive when someone tries to offer some constructive criticism on gear or spec, or officers that arbitrarily punish members for not meeting totally unrealistic expectations. Members that are friendly, officers that are focused, a guild that's got a future. 2. What will make you a good member? My natural inclination is to follow orders, but if the need arises, I can take over as a leader. I love theorycrafting and have a knack for getting information regarding patches and leaked content before most gaming sites do. I managed to get into the closed WAR beta completely on my own, after all! I'm more interested in the guild progressing as a whole than just making myself better because, as cliched as it sounds, "Together we'll accomplish more than we can by ourselves." 3. Have you been in a guild before? If so, which one(s)? I'm currently in the WoW guild Deadmoon Tribe on Gorefiend-Horde. I still raid with them when my schedule allows for it, but I've just started a new job that will require several weeks of working late. Additionally, I'm rather burnt out on WoW. I've been with my current WoW guild since March 2005. We're the oldest Horde raiding guild on Gorefiend and are currently stalled on the Illdari Counsel due to the regular summer burnout period. Before that, I was in the Redmage Society in FFXI on the Asura server since the release of FFXI in the US, of which I can't remember the date, probably some time in 2002. 4. Are you interested in PvP or PvE? Both? My preference is for PvE, but that's largely attributable to my distaste for WoW's PvP system. I'm really excited about WAR's take on world PvP. 5. What is your schedule like? I work late two nights during the week (variable, but I can pick the days, assuming I know what nights I need available before the Monday of that week), am always available on Saturdays and can play until ~4pm EST on Sundays. 6. What type of character do you play or plan on playing? Good question. I'm a long-time fan of Chaos, but will honor the intent of my beta invite and test out many races and classes. Destruction's a given. I've always been on the "dark" faction, be it in CoV or Horde in WoW. I've been playing healbot characters since FFXI came out, but have always had DPS alts. My experiences with tanking are limited to bear tanking in WoW up to level 65. I enjoyed it and was rather good at it, but don't know how badly I'd be limiting my income generating ability by picking a tank initially over a DPS or healer class. For whatever reason, healers always seem to have much better DPS than tanks, hence better income generation ability. Right now, I'm really open to suggestions. It would take very little effort to convince me to fill a needed role as I've got experience with and enjoy all of them. 7. Are you an RP'er? (We are not a RP guild) No. Not at all. 8. Where are you located? Tampa, FL, USA |
