Microphone
I have gone thru 3-4 headsets and for some reason none of them are able to pick up voice, i tap them on my hand , blow on them all of that picks it up, however when I want to talk none of it works. Only thing that has come even close in the past was just a plain microphone by itself but that is a pain having to pick it up everytime I want to talk especially in raids. Anyone have any advice let me know.

Is you line in volume turned up? Did you plug it into the right jack? try putting boost on.
If it picks up small sounds, voice would be picked up. More people have transmit issues. Annyah can probably help you as we just got her on vent. What Operating System are you using?

I'm not sure... McCloude pretty much gave you what I would have suggested. (I have no clue what was wrong with my vent in the 1st place)
Make sure under Setup, Voice that your input device are correct (IE, mic plugged into the front of your computer, or the back, etc.) I had to choose the same thing for the Hardware Input Mixer, even though it says it's optional. (Don't ask... I don't know) Also, like McC said, check your outbound volume. The mic may possibly be working, it's just too low for it to register on our computers. If you've tried that, or that doesn't work... I don't know. We'll try something else. Good Luck! |

One other thing is to make sure the mic is selected in the sound control. To find out go to Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > click on the advanced button under the slider bar > In the new window that opens click on the options menu > advanced > click on the recording radio button > click ok
After all that check to see that your mic volume is turn up and that the mic is actually selected as the main recording device. |
