Need Some Graphics Card Help
Ok, so I have a Mac notebook with Windows XP partition. I have a Mobile Intel 965 Chipset. I'm an admitted comptard. I ran my partition through Can You Run It.com and it comes back that my graphics card isn't up to snuff for WAR. Is there any way that with a Mac I can purchase a new video card or supplement my existing chipset? For that matter is this Mobile Chipset even a graphics card? I know nothing PLEASE help me. Hell Email me or AIM me I need the advice.
AIM: Chimmler Email: chaptermasterchimi@gmail.com HELPZZZ WAR IS COMING AND I'M NOT READY I have been advised to purchase a Nividia GE Force 8800 GT for Mac Thoughts?

Most laptops have their video card integrated in the motherboard so it's technically impossible to change them, I'll honestly say I haven't toyed with a Mac, but it should fall in the same category.
There are very few laptops that you can change the video card via the MXM port but those cards are extremely expensive due to the rarity of the laptops that use them. So I'm sorry mate, when you buy a laptop, the only things you can upgrade in the future are RAM and Hard Drive. There is a new wave of external video cards coming, there are some out but they are mostly for extra monitors, can't handle video game graphics, but then there's this NVIDIA Quadro Plex VCS ? Advanced visualization and remote graphics But that's a little out of reach... Edit: You might want to read http://computeraccessories.suite101....cards_and_gpus

Most of the problems for Macs with gaming is they use OpenGL drivers and they just don't compare with M$ DirectX drivers, the performance difference can be pretty extreme.
