For those who have an nvidia video card in there laptops. You must take a look at this website. The site is created for getting current forceware drivers to on current laptops. The drivers do run quite well, and I have very little problems with them. LaptopVideo2Go & NVIDIA Related News

A tool I've found invaluable for any situation where I can't boot a computer is the Ultimate Boot CD. It has a ton of utilities that are very useful including: CPU Burn in, Memtest, HD wiping just about anything you could ever want really. Ultimate Boot CD - Overview

When it comes down to IRC. I'm not much of a fan of Mirc. However, I tend to use Xchat for IRC. I thought I might as well share it. Xchat

Just found out a cool tidbit of info for boosting up boot times on a Vista computer with at least a dual core processor.
Go to the 'start search' bar and look up 'msconfig'.
Once the window is open go to the boot tab, then advanced options.
One of the options will be 'Number of processors'. Click the box next to it and change from 1 to 2 or 4 (dual- or quad-core) and then just press the ok button twice. Boom, faster boot times!

Here is some more random software...

If you have a ATI graphics card you can download ExperTool ATI to control the fan speed. The fan control works for all ATI cards not just those by Gainward.

Problems with multi booting Vista get Vista Boot PRO 3.3 to fix your MBR so you can see all OS from the Vista boot drive.

Need to defrag your hard drive and windows defrag is so damn slow. Try AusLogic Disk Defrag but DON'T download there speed boost software its rubbish.

What does that do, exactly? Besides faster boot times.

By default, the vista OS will only use one core to boot. You're setting your computer to use all of your computers cores so it boosts faster. That's it.
