Help me decide between the 2 laptops (both about 2k)!!! dotn know if i want the asus with the good DDR2 and intel dual core Or the AMD dual core with DDR 3200 !!

Tough pick. I've heard bad things about current DDR2 so I dunno where to go on that, but I'd go with the 17 inch screen myself, just cause I like alot of screen heh.

well when im home ive got a 20" widescreen ill plug it up too hehe so im not tooo worried about the screen size.. though it never hurts hehe

i would go for 1 but that is only because i like dual core

ps. i don´t know to much about computers so i could be totaly wrong

are you sure that AMD CPU is dual core (Turon 64 x2)? If so, #2 for sure.

Also, DDR2 vs DDR at this stage should dfenitly not even be a factor in deciding when buying hardware. At this very moment they are preatty much even, and they have been since DDR2 has been introduced. All in all, you are preatty safe to go with DDR.

yea im pos. that the AMD is dual core! and it has hyperthreading, unlike the intel duo.... thanks for the info.. ive always been a AMD fan so Thats what ill prob get then hehe!!!!
