its served me well over the years, not too many problems! Except for with Counter Strike, i always got poor FPS. Is that cause i dont have enough ram?
(512mb) Or cause of my Geforce4 graphics card? And! do u think 1gig of ram will be enough for AoC? i mean, so it runs at least pretty smoothly. I know 512 isnt enough, for sure! i get horrible fps playing swg! Ok, so i plan on keeping my video settings on AoC high. I have them turned all the way down on WoW, cause WoW isnt anything special to look at. But i want to be able to keep my video options on high and still be able to run smoothly. What do u suggest? and how much will it cost? |

Bump, I know the requirements havnt been released yet, but my computer technical knowledge is very limited, Im sure some of you could take an educated guess as to what the minimum requirements would be. Or even whats recommended :P

I'm running a gig of ram and a Geforce 6800GS AGP, and I'm not worried about running the game. Of course, I'm decently overclocked on most of my hardware. Geforce 6800 series is the minimum, because it supports pixel shader 3.0. Radeon supports it now too, but they took a little longer thus the cards that support it are a tad more expensive than the 6800s. 6800 Ultra is nice, it's got 16 pipelines and probably is pretty affordable now. My 6800 GS is AGP and only has 12 pipelines (there's a way to try to unlock it to a quad but my card wouldn't have it), but I've got it running fast in other ways.
I run both Oblivion and Titan Quest at 1280 by 1024 with no lag (Oblivion I do have a lot of performance tweaks, Titan Quest the graphics are maxxed out with no issues). I don't expect to run AoC on max settings, but I figure, if I could run EQ2 I shouldn't have any issues with AoC assuming it's properly optimized. ![]()

Hmmm idk about being able to run AoC with a 6800 and 1 gig of ram on all high settings... I doubt it but you most likely will be able to run smoothly on medium high im guessing. And for the counterstrike problem.. As long as its not source, its probably your ram thats making you get low fps. But if your playing source then it might be both.
