I'm thinking about upgrading my system. Right now I've got a 7800GTX with an AMD X2 4400+ OC'd to 2.6GHz stable (watercooled) and 2 gigs of RAM. I was looking at the BFG 8800GTX and perhaps switching over to an intel based system and buying one of these quad cores.
My only question is, how much of a performance gain will I see over my current CPU? Anybody have benchmark results?
