Just finished putting the new assembly together:
Intel Core Duo Quad Q6600 2.4 ASUS P5W DH Deluxe Motherboard 4 GB OCZ DDR2 Platinum Thermaltake Ultima 90 heatsink/fan combo (2) 75G WD Raptors running Raid 0 (2) 300GB WD SATA II HDD (storage) EVGA 8800GTX Viewsonic 22" LCD monitor Soundblaster 24 bit audio Antec Nine Hundred case + 750?W ps Now time for some WAR  BTW tks guys for the advice on heatsinks/fans - I took your advice and am getting much better cooling now - used to idle at 34 Deg C with stock unit now idles at around 20 Deg as measured from the MB monitor. i forget most of my specs built the computer last year and don't really pay much attention to what i actually put inside my comp i'll have a go tho
2x Leadtek PX7900gtx 256mb cards in SLI Asus A8N-SLI premium mobo AMD 3800+ dual core cpu with a Typhon heatpipe thing on it :P 2 gig OCZ gold RAM 1 75gig WD Raptor 1 300 gig sata drive 2x 19inch widescreen monitors (stupid sli make me turn it off to use dual screens) Logitech G15 generic mouse, i'd rather keyboard dance than mouse dance. all wrapped up in a Antec P180 case i think it was I can build a computer well enough, just don't ask me the hardcore techie questions :P |

No pictures of it but its relatively new. Built is as a grad-school graduation present to myself.
Have a friend who works for Intel so I got the slick discount on the QX6800. Thats the brains behind the brawn... QX6800 2x8800 BFG GTX vid cards SLI 4 GIG Crucial DDR2 PC1000 RAM Gaming drive is a 10,000 RPM Raptor HD NVIDIA 680i motherboard BFG 850 watt PS Sound blaser Xi-Fi sound card (7.1) Some ghetto case because I dropped my wad on everything else... |
