Gaming Mice
Alright well my Logitech G5 is pretty much beyond repair (the locking mechanism for weight tray has snapped off, pads at the bottom have peeled, and my right click is starting to stick) so it's about time to get a new mouse.
When the Logitech G9 was announced, I thought the choice would be easy. But since then I've seen some cool mice. Note that I'm going to an ass load of study groups/ lan parties so looks are definitely a factor. And not only that but whats up with the new 3200 DPI setting? I was just getting used to 1600 on a 22" lol. Are people really gaming on 50" LCD tvs?? Anyways here are the ones I've found thus far that interest me (and no I don't want to go back to the G5, I've used that for 2 damn years): --Released-- Logitech G9 Microsoft Sidewinder Razer Lachesis WolfKing Trooper --Not released-- Saitek Cyborg Ideazon Gaming Reaper

-the G9 looks unconfortable
-the sidewinder looks like it will be hard to get used to -the wolf looks like a normal mouse -the razer I like, looks confortable and has memory to save different macros or assigned keys for different games.

I currently own a razor and LOVE it. Now, a few notes on it, i have decently sized hands, and for gaming i HATE having my palm on the mouse (like on the MX510 which was designed to have part of your palm rest on the mouse) for games like CSS and stuff your accuracy and ability to make quick movements and aim is much higher with just your fingers than palm. So it was an easy choice for me. That being said, it may not be the most comfortable mouse for long periods of time for some users. I'm ok with it because it is what i like, but i have had people use my mouse for certain amounts of time and say their hand is cramping and stuff, haha.
However they look damn sweet and they are ULTAR sensitive, (o0bviously with the 4kdpi) very customizable. |

I use the G5 v.2 and I like it. Only thing I can recommend is to go where you can try them to get a feel for them before you decide. Sorta like a chair. You want to sit in it and test the features before you buy it and get it home and find out it has a peculiarity you absolutely hate.

Trust me, the amount of DPI makes a huge difference in FPS games.
Anyways Pwnzilla the problem is I don't know any stores where you could try out most of these and would probably just order em online. I'm probably going to have to take a shot in the dark with mice.

I'll worry about the DPI when CoD 4 comes out, which btw looks awesome.
