Guildies input on this premade

I'm thinking this is a good deal for about 800 dollars, but before I blow 800 bucks away, I wanna know everybody's opinion

As anyone will say, I would build it yourself.

That computer is fairly nice, I would recommend though investing in 2gb more memory though in the future.

First, as always you will do better building vs buying. However, that is a fair price for the components listed. I personally would not go with an 8600 series card due to their 128 bit wide memory bus, but you have to go with the specs as configured. If you purchase the individual components from Newegg the price would come to about $730 after rebates. I would have two questions about that system.

1. Does it come with the OS disk or at least a restore disk?

2. Does that video card have GDDR2 or GDDR3 memory on it? They list the mobo model number but not the video card so I could not determine which it might be. Either way, if you want to go with a pre-built system; that one is reasonably priced.

I know Cyberpower used to be ranked a bit below average on resellerratings.com but their score seems improved over the past so perhaps they have improved their processes and customer service. Keep us informed if you decide to purchase it. I think you will be happier in the long run if you can find a system with an 8800GT card instead of the 8600GT. You might also want to wait for the 8800GS cards which should be hitting the market anytime now. They should perform just a bit lower than the 8800GT cards and a bit higher than the 8600GT cards.

Okay, I think I'll wait or something, but I am getting really impatient with new cards coming out and such, once you buy a card, two months later a new one comes out O_o =[ but yeah I'll wait for some parts to come out, thanks for the advice guys! =]

There is always going to be new cards (insert whatever parts here) coming out. Welcome to the world of pc gaming.
