us PC old timers like it for emergencies, you never know when the cd will stop working, you gotta redo something via dos and dos doesn't recognize usb...

plus some schools still require you to back up projects on floppy drives.

agreed back up file easier to use on 3.5" disk
and there cheap as chips

Personally, I'll just keep it out of the computer and get one if needed. True DOS does not recognize the file, but the odds of being in that badof an "oh shit" situation is slim with Vista (not XP),

Edit: actually, point taken... but I stand by the fact I just ignore the floppy drive now. It just collects dust =p

I have no intention of using vista for as long as i can help it.this is under strong advice from my m8 hes now totally shut vista down and gone to xp 64 bit just cause vista is so buggy and a memory sponge.
most peeps i know are using 4gb ram just to try and run vista which is not good at all
ive grown use to xp and find it very managable and resonably user friendly.

i read an arcticle last year about the new repalcement system for vista where the system has a basic install and u add the componenents u need or want as opposed to getting full package i cant wait till that arrives as it looks more user and memory friendly.
until then xp 64bt ftw.

Thank you so much guys...Ill look into the set ups you gave me and see if I can get it around Calgary at various places. Paying Shipping and handling sucks. I appreciate it. Just go tto make sure its built by march for AOC.

They are allways giving good info but one thing I can't undestan. Why are you feeding us AOC. Don't say it's a bad game but for War guild and feeding an AOC. Damn man. =P

I know, but WAR is not coming out to much later then that. Im sick of WOW and Ive been unsucessful at finding another online game I enjoy. I also need a new PC as I gave my last one to my cousin who is starting University and needed one.

Well I printed off your guys suggestions and gave them to my buddy who will do some "shopping around" the city. If any changes or suggestions are made I will post them her to get feedback.
