PCI express
Well, I fixed the problem but I really don't understand how I fixed it. I bought an en8800gts, and a new psu (460w). The psu had two pci express... cords, one of which was a six pin, and the other was a six pin but had two more pins loosely attached to it. I put the first six pin in the card and every time I would try and use the card for anything the computer would restart. I switched the power cords going to the card and since that everything has been fine!
It really doesn't make any sense to me. Do you think the second cord could be a different amperage? |
