Your one lucky man to hit 2.7, Prime 95 or OCCT stable at that:P

Our phenom, just didnt want to play... It was like nooo dont touch meee!!!

Intel is comming out with a monolith quad core Q4 2008 called Nehalem... Its goin to be priceyO.O...

Well yes, its natural that a Quad Core will not overclock to the same levels as a Dual Core. However the Intel quads are pretty close Under phase/LN2 its only about a 500Mhz difference. Its also not uncommong to see 4.0Ghz overclock on the newer X48/790i and some P35/X38 motherboards using Q9450s on air... Granted, quads dont usually like to run above 475Mhz FSB.

DDR3 prices will come down later this summer

Nehalem does look fun =)

Prime 95 yes (ran that 5 times after a water incident)
3dmark was ok as well

I honestly just let my normal usage be a test, I know it is not the "official" way of saying it is stable, but I have yet to have the computer crash or in any way hick-up.

My only problem with AMD right now (since it is them after the merger) is my ATI graphics drivers are having an issue coming out of sleep mode. Sure I just disabled sleep mode, but its costing me $$$ when I'm at work having to have this thing chill in full power mode =\

edit: I want to see how "lucky" my chip is, so I am going to let AMD Overdrive auto-tune. It should tune (from what I have read) to 2.4ghz or so on auto. Let the 2 hour fun of watching a bar begin =)
edit #2: I got bored, so maybe tonight, anyways, the consensus wall seems to be 2.64-2.74 with some getting as high as 2.9 stable (3.1ghz boot) I was looking around trying to find OC on the new Phenom for kicks.
