WAR handling CPUS?

Hey guys, I was just curious I have the Sony VGN-AR605E

Sony VAIO VGN-AR605E Notebook PC - Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8GHz, 802.11abgn Wireless, 1GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, Dual Layer DVD RW, 17" WXGA+, Webcam, Windows Vista Home Premium VGNAR605E at CompUSA.com

Look there for the specs, I was just wondering if this machine would be able to handle WAR. If it can't can you guys link me to a powerful affordable machine?

Anything with Vista and 1gig RAM is bound to be trouble.

I upgraded it to 3 Gigs of ram

are gateway machine's drivers supported by windows update? cause my sony's drivers are not, and I want to know when new updated drivers are available
through update instead of wandering to the support site and chicken picking through a list of drivers
