High Resolution Monitor

Right now I'm using a pair of 3870HDs with a Dell E228WFP 22" monitor, and whenever I try to set my computers resolution to it's native 1680x1050 (in game or on desktop) my entire screen becomes skewed.
The highest resolution I can run right now is 1280x1024, and my setup can easily handle more which is why this problem is so frustrating.
Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated.
And here's the page for the monitor on Dell's website.

That happened at first with my Acer 22" monitor. I just pressed the "Auto-Adjust" button on my monitor, and all was well

Might I suggest the same for you? Is there such a button or something of that nature on your monitor?

Type the problem using the keywords Samsung or dell Monitor and see if there is a post about it.

Where?
I've already looked through these forums, WSGF, and GameFAQs and could find nothing.

Honestly, with those types of issues, after doing some trouble shooting I just type the problem up in google and run a search. usually I can find a thread on some message board about the problem.

Honestly man, only idea I have, since I have not had an issue like that, I cannot really guess at the problem. If I have some free time tomorrow I'll call my tech help desk at dell and see if I can scrounge up anything

If it'll get you off a bit of work be my guest ( ) but atm I'm getting a lot of help on the WSGF so it's not necessary at all.
I really appreciate the offer, time to look through google.

Every icon was extended in width, but kept the same height, so instead of maintaining the gradual proportions everything on my screen looks stretched out.

Have you tried setting it through windows (right click desktop, properties, settings tab) as well as whatever utility ATI uses to configure monitors? I have found sometimes things will work when you do it through windows, and not through the utility and vice versa.

Updated video drivers recently?
