Poot's Computer problem
Poot just recently bought a new mobo and CPU as well, and he is having some problems.
His computer will turn on, but when it goes to the windows loading screen it goes to a black screen and then restarts. We've done checkdisc, fixboot, cleared cmos, a bunch of stuff. He CAN get into safe mode, but we don't know what to do from there. if any of you guys have any ideas feel free to throw em out there. |

-Try changing his PSU for a more powerful one. Also make sure that the 4 pin power cable is connected.
-Make sure the RAM are located in the right slots (some mobo's require certain combinations) and while at it, check that they don't have any black marks on the pins. I'm leaning more towards the PSU tho.

I'll second Pedro's Power Supply issue, another idea if neither of those suggestions are working is to clean install the OS again. There COULD (outside shot) of a software error causing a reboot (happened on my Vista 64bit)
Edit: Actually as an idea, how is the BIOS showing the harddrives as (NSFT, Legacy, SATA, etc) it somewhere in the options I just cannot remember where right now on 3 hours of sleep. I will update if needed when I get to my computer tongiht. |

Well, Poot had to go back to his house for a bit and his computers here and I don't wanna touch it while its messed up for fear that I'll make it worse, especialy with the bad luck I've had so far haha.
But he has the same RAM as me and we put his sticks in my machine and they read fine and worked. We will check the PSU when he gets back, and I'll tell him about the HD bios thing and let you guys know as soon as possible. |

Did you format the primary drive before booting the PC up? If not, you really should format the drive and do a clean install of the OS.
Check your BIOS setting for HTT & CPU. As that is an AM2+ compatible board ensure that the HTT is set for the Athon X2 default (2000) and not for a Phenom (3600). Check CPU voltage for your processor as well, should be ~1.35-1.4v. If those settings are correct, try removing all but one stick of RAM and only install the primary HDD and see if you can get it up and running stable with that configuration, set a restore point, and then add the other components. |
