Graphics Card

So I just realized I need a graphics card to supplement my new Mac Book with. I have between 100-200 dollars to spend and don't want to spend much more. I've heared Nvidia and Raedon suggested but I'm a complete comptard and would like some help in choosing a card. Any insight would be nice. Please hook me up with some advice.

I'm running a recently purchased and un-moded Mac Book. For more specs just ask.

nvidia and ati are your only choices. which card did it have in there before? i think but not sure you have to go with the same brand. i would call apple store and see what they tell you. most macs i think have a low end nvidia or ati card and there drivers are different then windows drivers since its a different os.

I believe you are SOL when it comes to a new graphics card for a regular MacBook. The only real way to replace a new card in those machines is getting a new Mac book altogether. that being said, the only replacement graphics cards you can get for Macs are for Mac Pros due to it being a tower. The only Macs in my opinion that could run war in a windows partition would be MacBook Pros, iMacs, and Mac Pros.

If you do end up buying a new machine, the MacBook Pros are due for a hardware refresh which would bring in series 9 nVidia cards. Also if your MacBook is a current one, you have a intel x3100
