Computer Problem! Help please!
So, i bought a new computer about 2 weeks ago, and its been running great up until today. And im trying to figure out what the problem is.
Alright so last night i came home drunk, and i wanted to watch a movie, so i went to myquicksilverscreen.com to watch one. But when i tried to watch Training Day, it said i needed to install Adobe Media Player 1.0,(never heard of this program before, and when i got to the site it also wanted to install Zango, which i knew was a big no no so i canceled that, so this is the reason im telling you about the Adobe Media Player thing) so since i was drunk, i just said what the hell and installed it. Anywho after i installed it the movie got deleted because of some reason and i said fuck it and went to bed. Well, the next morning i woke up and !@#$!@#$!@ (Blank for forum rules :P) the movie, and started to watch it. At about half way through, my monitor turned off, the sound was still going, but i couldnt get the monitor to get a signal, so i restarted and just thought it was nothing. Just a few minutes ago, i was watching another movie (Donnie Brasco) and this time, i got to about 4 minutes from the end, then the movie got all screwy (You know, the screen got all checkered into bright green/yellow/Pink squares) then, it did the same thing. Could this be from the program i downloaded? Driver issues? I know its not from over heating because i have 5 fans in my computer and its super cold 24/7. If anyone has any info! Please! Say something! PS. Wall of Text crits you for 10259. |

Quickest option to fix it would be to try resetting computer to a restore point prior to when the issues started. It sounds more like an application/software issue than a hardware issue.

computers and drunkeness really don't mix very well. Do some full scans of your PC (with updated software) and hope for the best. Good luck.

Hmm, seems like it only crashes when i watch movies, and only if i play around with the time line. Atleast its not black screening anymore, it just goes all wacky with the color and then freezes.
