Which ports and how to open them depends on the game and your firewall application. I would run a search on the respective game forums. I would be very surprised if you don't find what you need there.

And if you don't have software firewall installed, then it might be the router firewall.
PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall There you can find how to open ports (forward) for almost all routers, and detailed explanation for some games/programs.

You will need different ports open for different games. Look for it on a games FAQs or Help section, it'll be there somewhere. Normally, to access your router port settings open an IE window and you will need to type an IP specific for your router (Linksys's is 192.168.1.1). You can change the settings in there...Follow pedros link =)

Warcraft III:
- Allow port 6112 TCP out and allow established sessions in - Allow port 6112 TCP in (hosting custom games) - Allow port 6113-6119 TCP out and in (hosting custom games if you've changed the default port in the Options/Gameplay screen) NWN2: * Ports 5120 through 5300 * Port 6500 * Port 6667 * Port 27900 * Port 28900 In addition to opening the ports listed above, you may need to allow incoming connections on the port you are running your server on (5121 by default) and forward those connections to the computer running the server.
